Beginners Neuro-change/Positive Thinking Training (NPC)

The NCP class is a 2-week individualized training course designed to help you overcome traumatic events, unwanted thoughts and self-defeating and unwanted behaviors. It will help you discover your minds greatest potential and construct a bridge from where you are now to where you want to be. For 2-weeks, you will learn how to repattern your neurology using various techniques such as positive thinking, meditation, mindfulness and an acknowledgement of the present. You will also learn the significance of your past and how to overcome it.

NCP is filled with reading exercises, reflective learning, activities and worksheets that you will complete outside of sessions. But like most trainings, this requires discipline and a willingness to stretch yourself mentally. You will be required to read, learn and engage in what I call psychoeducational therapy. It involves learning about your mind and brain so you can use them wisely. You will also learn how to change the brains negative bias into a positive one.

The incredible news about your life and emotional states, is they can be changed. You can change the way you think and feel at any time. Permanent damage only exists if you BELIEVE it exists. You are not held captive to the trauma you experienced in the past, you are not destined to a life of self-defeating habits, and you are not hardwired with an unchangeable brain! You have more control over your peace and happiness than you know.

Meditation & Stress Management

Indeed, many might see meditation as pointless, weird or may not understand its usefulness. In addition, the practice of meditation did not originate in this culture so many have a hard time accepting this age-old practiced. It wasn’t until recently when neurologist discovered that “Buddhist were actually on to something” that this practice became more accepted in Western cultures. What neurologist have now found is that meditation is very beneficial and actually has counter-acting effects to our stress response center.

There is a physical and mental way of focusing the mind. Focusing the mind and being able to control the wandering that it does throughout the day is important to regulating emotions and focusing on things that are more constructive.

Every day we are reacting to situations which triggers our stress response and being in a continuous state of “reacting” can take a toll on our bodies. Instead of reacting to stress, meditation takes a “proactive” approach to dealing with stress by relaxing our bodies and focusing our minds on non-stressful matters. By triggering the body's relaxation response (parasympathetic nervous system), it restores the body to a calm state, helping the body repair itself and preventing new damage from the physical effects of stress. It is a deliberate act to redirect the mind, body and spirit, bringing it into a calm and relaxed state.

While there are many forms of meditation being practiced throughout the world today, this one-week training program will teach you how to use a simple mindfulness stress reduction approach aimed at helping you control your mind better and relieve your body of stress.

Anxiety Training Program (ATP)

Anxiety training is a one-week training program aimed to help you understand the mind and the brain, your current condition and how to alleviate anxiety from your life. You will learn a new way of looking at anxiety which will empower you with the skills and mindset to overcome it.

Anxiety does not have to be a part of your life, nor are you destined to live with it.

Neuroplasticity & Neurofeedback

In this course, clients will learn the definition of neuroplasticity, the science of neurofeedback and how it can make a significant difference in their lives. They will also learn brain basics, the power of brain patterns and how neuroplasticity and neurofeedback changes and rewires the brain.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training (CBTT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training teaches you the foundations of CBT and how to change your maladaptive thoughts, behaviors and emotions. You will learn the CBT triangle, self-monitoring and a host of other techniques that can be used to overcome emotional and psychological distress. You will also learn how to focus on the present, gain greater focus and concentration and create a whole new system of thoughts and behaviors.
